She brought along her friend, Diana Peterfreund, author of RAMPANT. Both ladies were sweet and funny, and I'm glad I got the chance to meet them. Carrie read an excerpt from her new book, and we got to watch the book trailer for the first.
Also, the book has been optioned as a movie, but no definite word on that.
She has completed the third book to be released around this time next year: THE DARK AND HOLLOW PLACES. In other exciting news... she's engaged and getting married this April Fool's Day. I want that date for my wedding, too.
Groom: I do.
Bride: I don't. Kidding! I do.
I have to plug the bookstore where the signing was because it was so wonderful. It was an indie store in Baltimore, MD called The Children's Bookstore. They sold only books for kids and teens, though there were some "teen friendly" adult books as well. http://www.thecbstore.com/

I was never a fan of zombie movies & none of the books I've read yet are zombie, so I'll go with the movie my Dad thought was a great idea for me to watch when I was little, Night of the Living Dead. (I think I was 5.)

Thnks for the contest
I don't know if it's a zombie movie exactly, but my favorite is 28 Days Later. The zombie-like monsters are infected by a virus that compels them to seek out healthy humans and bite them and turn them into bloodthirsty maniacs. It's deliciously scary.

Hey, dear!
I'm a zombie fan, so my list is large: for comedy, Shaun of the Dead is unbeatable, for fast-zombies the remake of Dawn of the Dead rules, slow-zombies are best in the original Day of the Dead, serious zombie lit is at its pinnacle in Max Brooks' World War Z, PPZ reigns in the zombie mashup category, 28 Days Later wins for the sweetest zombie film. You Are So Undead to Me by Stacey Jay was okay, I'm still longing to see Zombieland, I didn't care for Generation Dead, and I really can't recommend Breathers: A Love Story. Infected by Scot Sigler is pretty good.

Here is Tegan's entry:
My Fav Zombie thing is Forest of the Hands of Teeth. I don't really like Zombies they bug me and scare me for that matter, but FOTHAT was good, it was scarry and sad and depressing, I like it, it made me feel really warm and fuzzy after a bad day.

Hmm...the only zombie book I've read is The Forest of Hands and Teeth. I loved it! As far as movies go, I'm going to say Resident Evil (the first one). I love me a heroine! :D

Answer: Hmmmm. Favorite zombie book- Actually probably The Forest of Hands and Teeth. It was truely zombie-ish. Not cute innocent zombies. Creepy, scary zombies. I also liked Zombie Queen of Newbury High, although it was aimed at a younger crowd I think. Still entertaining.

My favorite zombie book or movie... haven't read many zombie books but I do love zombieland (it was actually funny and had realistic zombies)
I forgot to answer the question! -face palm-
Fav zombie book/movie
Well I've never read a zombie book. I put zombies under the creepy scary book category so I avoid them but recently I've been having a need for something scary which is why I want to read this book. As for fav zombie movie hmm I would have to say Resident Evil: Apocalypse, probably also the only zombie movie I have seen o.o
I have really only read one Zombie book so far (though there are more in my pile...) So I'll go with movie... and I rather like Resident Evil. Despite everyone else bashing it.
